The Boileroom, 13 Stoke Fields, Guildford GU1 4LS

Folk music lovers will be treated to two amazing acts for the price of one. Be among the first to hear the talented duo Owen Spafford and Louis Campbell as they embark on their first UK tour to launch their debut album ‘You, Golden’ released on 4 November. A solo performance by Andy Cutting, 3-times winner of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Best Musician, promises to make this a truly special evening. Andy is a warm and emotive performer, modestly engaging his audiences with his self-deprecating wit and then flooring them with downright staggering musicianship.

What to expect: “Beautiful, swirling, modern English folk music,” Mark Radcliffe introducing Owen and Louis’ music on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show. Listen on Spotify

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to local arts charity Creative Response.

About the artists

OWEN SPAFFORD (violin) & LOUIS CAMPBELL (guitar)

Owen and Louis' debut album 'You, Golden' manages to orbit many different sound-worlds while staying within the acoustic context of English folk music. As a duo, they distil their love of traditional and experimental music into powerful, intricate and intimate music. Owen is studying composition at the Royal Academy of Music and working with Cosmo Sheldrake. Louis is a member of the Sam Sweeney Band who is supporting Bellowhead’s nation-wide tour in November. https://www.spaffordcampbell.com/
